Downsizing Cleanouts in Charlotte County
When someone is moving to a smaller place — or helping a parent make that move — the house full of belongings is one of the hardest parts. I can take care of it.
Moving to assisted living — or just somewhere smaller
Charlotte County has a large population of retirees, and a lot of the cleanout work I do is for seniors who are moving into assisted living, or for their adult children who are helping coordinate the transition.
These moves can be emotional. There are decades of belongings in the house — furniture bought together, photographs on every wall, a lifetime of small things that matter to someone. I understand that, and I work carefully.
Whatever items are moving to the new place, I work around those. Whatever the family wants to keep, I set aside. The rest I clear out, and I leave the house broom-clean.
How it usually works
We talk through the situation
Call me and explain what's happening — who's moving, where they're going, what the timeline looks like. I'll ask a few questions and we'll figure out whether a walkthrough makes sense.
I walk through the house
Free walkthrough, no pressure. I'll see what's there and give you a flat price for clearing whatever you want cleared.
We pick a date that works
I'll work around the move-out date, the sale closing, or whatever other timeline you're managing.
The house is cleared and clean
Furniture, clothes, dishes, storage — everything you want out. Photos when I'm done. Keys back to you.
If you're coordinating from out of town
A lot of adult children are managing a parent's move from another state. I do this regularly. I can coordinate with a local contact to access the property, and I'll send you photos throughout so you know exactly what's happening.
You don't have to fly down for the cleanout. I'll handle it and keep you in the loop the whole way.
